2nd Round schedule announced for GT20 Canada after completion of group phase

The group phase part of the inaugural Global T20 Canada is completed after the 15th group stage match was completed between Toronto Nationals and Montreal Tigers on 08th Jul 2018.

Cricket West Indies “B” team head the points table with 4 wins from their 5 matches on 8 points, followed by Vancouver Knights (7 points from 5 matches), Edmonton Royals (5 points from 5 matches), Winnipeg Hawks and Toronto Nationals (4 points from 5 matches) and Montreal Tigers (2 points from 5 matches).

The unique format of GT20 Canada moves into Round 2 of the competition, where all the team’s will play a match each based on their positions in the group phase points table before the play-off’s. It provides a second chance for the team’s to finish in the top 4 of the competition to qualify for the play-off’s stage.

The likes of Babar Hayat, Sandeep Lamichhane, Nitish Kumar and other Associate member nation players have put in some impressive performances during the course of the group phase stage and with the crucial round 2 matches coming up, their contributions could prove vital for their respective franchise team’s chances of reaching the play-off stages.

10th May 2018: CWI “B” Team vs Montreal Tigers (11 am) ; Vancouver Knights vs Toronto Nationals (4 pm)

11th May 2018: Edmonton Royals vs Winnipeg Hawks (11 am)
