Costa Rica Cricket to host 9th Central American Championships in April 2024

Costa Rica Cricket Federation (CRC) will be hosting the 9th edition of the Men’s Central American Championships (CAC 2024) from April 11th – 15th, 2024 at Polo field in Los Reyes in La Guácima, Alajuela. The 9th edition will see Men’s teams of Costa Rica and Mexico compete for the title in a five (5) match T20 International series. Growth of the sport and the development program in Costa Rica will be on display, with the presence of close to eight (8) Costa Ricans in the host’s squad for the Championships.

Men’s teams of Panama and Belize, who have participated in the previous editions of the Central American Championships, will not be taking part this year unfortunately. The 2023 edition of the Championships had three (3) countries (Belize, Mexico and Costa Rica), along with MCC team (Marylebone Cricket Club) compete for the Title in Belize. The Women’s Central American Championships will be taking place from April 19th – 21st at the same venue and marks the return of the Women’s competition after the previously played edition was back in 2019 in Mexico, where Women’s teams of Costa Rica and Mexico contested for the title..

14th April 2024: Costa Rica vs Mexico – 5th T20I (Scorecard)
