The Full schedule for 2018 Caribbean Premier League (CPLT20) was announced on the International Cricket Council (ICC) website on 05th Jun 2018. The 34 match season will be held in various venues in the Caribbean region, with few matches to be held in the US as well from 08th Aug – 06th Sep, 2018.
Seven players from Associate countries (4 from US, 2 from Canada & 1 from Nepal) will be part of the CPL T20 in 2018. In accordance with the rules of having one Americas Associate member in each franchise squad, Sunny Sohal, Jaskaran Malhotra & Saurabh Netravalkar have been selected from USA while Elmore Hutchinson & Hamza Tariq are the Canadian players selected in the squads. The sole representation from Nepal comes in the form of Sandeep Lamichhane, who will be filled with confidence, after he has also taken part in the inaugural edition of Canada Global T20 league, held few weeks earlier than the start of CPL 2018.
For USA’s Sunny Sohal, this will be his 2nd chance in a Global T20 league, having played in the first 5 editions of Indian Premier League (IPL) from 2008-2013. Canada’s Hamza Tariq and Elmore Hutchinson were in action in Feb 2018 when Canada took part in ICC World Cricket League Division 2 in Namibia and will feature in the inaugural Canada Global T20 league before taking part in CPL 2018.

Big interest will be expected from the Nepal territory as their National icon player, Sandeep Lamichhane will be involved with SKN Patriots and Caribbean Premier League should expect good viewership numbers via TV or online streaming. For the third consecutive year, few CPL games will be played at Fort Lauderhill ground in Florida, which is only ICC accredited ground in the United States.
