Cricket Canada have announced their 14-member men’s squad to take part in the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup Americas Regional finals in Bermuda from Aug 15th – 25th, 2019. Canada will be competing against the host’s, USA and Cayman Islands for two qualification spots into the Global Qualifiers, due to be played in Oct/Nov 2019 in UAE.
All matches in the double round-robin phase tournament will be played with official T20I status and ranking points towards ICC Men’s T20I team rankings. Canada qualified from Americas Group “A” sub-regional’s along with USA, held in Sep 2018.
Canada national squad players have been playing in Global T20 Canada tournament in the past couple of weeks and have got bigger exposure in the playing XI’s of each team’s in the 2019 edition of the T20 franchise-based league at Brampton.
