Cricket Jersey and National Squad sponsors Brooks Macdonald have announced the launch of Women’s Premier League in the T20 format on August 14th and 15th, 2021. The 4-team tournament will see all teams play each other in a single round-robin group stage format at FB Field 2 and 3, followed by the final on 15th between the top two teams in the points table.
The national squad members have had game-time in the middle during the final week of July 2021, when they faced-off against Middlesex Women and Sunrisers franchise development squad in T20 matches on 29th and 30th. The domestic T20 tournament will provide opportunities to other domestic circuit players to get noticed and press for selection in the national squad for future matches/series in 2021 and beyond.
