Uganda Cricket Association (UCA) have announced their 15-member squad for the upcoming ICC U19 Cricket World Cup scheduled to be held in the West Indies from January 14th – February 05th 2022, at select venues across Antigua, Guyana, Saint Kitts, and Trinidad. Uganda qualified for the World Cup as the winners from the regional qualification tournament held in Rwanda in September/October 2021.
Uganda are placed alongside India U19, South Africa U19 and Ireland U19 in group B of the tournament, with official warm-up fixtures scheduled against Scotland U19 and Sri Lanka U19. The top two (2) teams in each group at the end of single round-robin group stage format will advance to the quarterfinals stage of the tournament, while the bottom two (2) teams from each group will contest in the Plate Championships to decide the final positions in the 16-team event.
