Netherlands Cricket Board (KNCB) will be hosting U19 teams from Denmark, Italy and Middlesex Schools Cricket (UK) in a quadrangular series in the 50-overs format from July 10th – 13th, 2022 at Sportpark Westvliet ground in Voorburg and Loopuyt Oval, Sportpark Harga. The series will provide preparations for Netherlands and Italy U19 teams, as they will be taking part in the 2024 ICC Men’s U19 Cricket World Cup Europe Division 1 qualifier in Netherlands in August 2023 to compete against U19 teams from Scotland, Jersey, Guernsey and Norway for the lone qualification spot into the main event.
This U19 quadrangular series taking place in Netherlands could have the potential to become an annual affair going forward, as it was held in July 2022 as well, where U19 teams from Sweden, Germany and Denmark competed as preparations for the then European Division 2 qualifier for the U19 World Cup in Guernsey.
