Cricket Namibia (CN) will be hosting the Men’s National teams of South Africa and Zimbabwe for a T20 International Tri-series tournament (with ICC T20I team ranking points) from August 15th – September 06th, 2026, at the FNB Namibia Cricket Ground. South Africa will stay back after the completion of the T20I Tri-series, to play a three (3)-match One-day International bi-lateral series with Namibia, which will the first time the two (2) teams will be meeting in the longer format of the while ball game.

Having hosted South African team for a one-off T20I game last year, this arrangement further strengthens the relationship between the three (3) co-host’s of the 2027 ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup, who are also part of the Africa Cricket Association (ACA).

Cricket Papua New Guinea (CPNG) will be hosting the Women’s National team of Thailand for a bi-lateral series, comprising of One-day Internationals (ODIs) and T20 Internationals (with ICC T20I team ranking points) from August 10th – 17th, 2026, at the Amini Park cricket ground in Port Moresby. This will be the maiden bi-lateral series arrangement made between the two (2) cricket boards, with the teams having met against each other on multiple occasions over the years in multi-nation events/tournaments in T20Is, however, they have never met in ODIs till date, and this being the 2nd Women’s Cricket World Cup qualification cycle, where both the teams have retained their ODI status till 2029.

The series will be crucial for Thailand Women, who will travel to UAE post this tour, to compete in the Asian Cricket Council (ACC) Women’s Asia Cup tournament, starting 28th August 2026. The Lewas players have prepared for this series by taking part in the domestic One-day tournament, which concluded recently. With no pathway tournament available for the Women’s Associate teams with ODI status like their Men’s counterparts, the teams have to depend on arrangements made between themselves (Scotland, Netherlands, Thailand, Papua New Guinea, United Arab Emirates), to stay in the hunt for Women’s World Cup Qualifier spots, for which the decision is yet to be made official.

As per the original Men’s Associate FTP, T20Is (either a Tri-series or Bi-lateral) were scheduled as part of each Tri-series in the CWC League 2 ODI Championship, but it depends on the participating boards on their own arrangements, as it is not part of ICC funding.
