Georgia Women Cricket Association (GWCA) are set to host their Annual Georgia Women’s T20 tournament’s eleventh (11th) edition from May 24th – 26th, 2024 at Conyers in Georgia. Belize Women’s National team will again be participating in the tournament, making their third (3rd) consecutive participation since the 2022 edition (9th) of the event. A total of eight (8) teams will be competing for the Title, namely Atlanta Pearls Women’s Cricket Club (Defending Champions), Triangle Strikers, Belizean Royal Strikers, Atlanta Super Lions, Atlanta War Eagles, Florida Panthers, Cali Crushers and UWI Women’s Club.
Belize Women could not take part in the recently concluded Central American Championships in Costa Rica due to cost constraints (Women’s event got cancelled eventually), and it is good to see the Women’s team returning back to action in the GWCA event, which provides Belize Cricket the opportunity to develop their Women’s team despite lack of International fixtures.
