Canada U19 squad announced for 2022 World Cup in West Indies

Cricket Canada (CC) have announced their 15-member squad for the upcoming ICC U19 Cricket World Cup scheduled to be held in the West Indies from January 14th – February 05th 2022, at select venues across Antigua, Guyana, Saint Kitts, and Trinidad. Canada U19 were awarded the place from the regional qualifiers which was cancelled owing to COVID-19 pandemic, based on the results for the previous qualifier results in the past editions.

Canada are placed alongside defending Champions Bangladesh U19, England U19 and United Arab Emirates U19 in group A of the tournament, with official warm-up fixtures scheduled against Zimbabwe U19 and Pakistan U19. The top two (2) teams in each group at the end of single round-robin group stage format will advance to the quarterfinals stage of the tournament, while the bottom two (2) teams from each group will contest in the Plate Championships to decide the final positions in the 16-team event.
