Davey returns as Scotland announce squad for T20 World Cup Qualifiers

Cricket Scotland have announced their 15-member men’s National squad, that will take part in the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup Qualifiers from Oct 18th – Nov 02nd, 2019 in UAE.

Josh Davey, who plays English county cricket with Somerset Cricket Club, has made himself available for Scotland for the Qualifiers, which will be big boost to the already strong squad. Davey, however, will not be part of the squad, that will travel to Dublin to play in the T20I series against Ireland and Netherlands from Sep 15th – 20th, 2019. The remaining 14 members will take part in the Tri-series.

Scotland are placed alongside Netherlands, Papua New Guinea, Namibia, Singapore, Kenya and Bermuda in Group A in the Qualifiers in UAE. Scotland were direct qualifiers in the tournament based on their T20I team ranking at the end of 2018.
