Dutch players warm-up with Hurricanes/Seafarers T20 matches

Netherlands national squad players, who will travelling to Lord’s to take part in the MCC T20 Triangular tournament along with MCC and Nepal, had a good hit-out in the pro-series T20 matches between Hurricanes and Seafarers.

Michael Rippon made a successful comeback to dutch shores as he starred in the first game with the ball and will form a crucial combination with Netherlands skipper Pieter Seelaar in the matches against MCC and Nepal. The two match ODI series with Nepal following the Triangular tournament will also be crucial for the bowling attack.

Maxwell O’Dowd has been in good form for the dutch in the recent 2-3 months with stints with both “A” team and the national team and provides an all-round option to Seelaar. The management will be happy with the return of Myburgh from injury and his combination with either O’Dowd or Visee or Barresi will be vital for Netherlands getting off to quick starts in both the T20 matches and the ODI series following thereafter.

The youngsters in the T20 squad will be looking forward to feature in the playing XI at Lord’s in at-least one of the games. Netherlands veteran Ryan ten Doeschate has also been included for the T20 Triangular tournament and as he is currently playing in the English Vitality T20 Blast with Essex, his experience of playing at Lord’s on numerous occasions in different formats will be valuable to the chances of Netherlands going onto winning the tournament by the end of the day.
