Financial boost for Women’s Cricket and Clubs in Jersey through JCF grants for 2021

Jersey Cricket, along with Farmers Cricket Club (domestic club), have been awarded financial grants for FY2021 by Jersey Community Foundation (JCF) through the Channel Islands Lottery. Jersey Cricket have been awarded £25,000 towards employment of a Full Time Female Performance & Development Officer for Women’s cricket in the country and with the busy schedule coming up for the national squad in 2022, the grant and it’s usage will ensure proper administrative support for the growth of Women’s cricket and towards performance of the national squad.

Jersey Cricket have already announced the appointment of Maddy White for the Female Performance & Development Officer role. Maddy is an ECB Level 2 coach and has done coaching stints in New Zealand, Hong Kong and Sweden.

Apart from this, Jersey Cricket were awarded £10,000 towards Grainville facility Net Regeneration, while domestic club Farmers were awarded £50,000 for upgrading and to enlarge the Clubhouse facilities. Jersey Cricket are scheduled to host the Men’s Cricket World Cup (CWC) Challenge League B round in July/August 2022 and will host Men’s teams from Uganda, Hong Kong, Kenya, Bermuda and Italy in 50-overs competition (to be played with official List-A status).
