Preparation towards the 2028 ICC Men’s T20 World Cup Europe Sub-regional Qualifier in Finland in August begins for Spanish Men’s Cricket team, who will be playing inter-squad T20 matches for the Juan Carlos Rodriguez Trophy from April 17th – 19th, 2026, at the La Manga cricket club ground. All the matches will be live-streamed on the European Cricket Network channels.
Spain Men’s team Head Coach Corey Rutgers has high expectations from this event “I’m very much looking forward to the second Juan Carlos trophy as the players really enjoyed the challenge of going against in each in the 50-over games last year really raised the competitive juices. Looking to do it in a T20 format at the moment builds on the success of the 5-0 series victory against Croatia in December and focuses on the T20s coming up in the next 6 to 8 months with the August ICC qualifiers for the World Cup around the corner.”
