Afghanistan Cricket Board (ACB) have announced the schedule for the inaugural edition of Afghanistan Premier League (APLT20) from Oct 05th – 21st, 2018 at Sharjah Cricket Stadium in UAE.

5 Associate member players were chosen from the “ICC Associate” category with league rules of having one Associate player per squad.

Ryan ten Doeschate makes a sort of comeback in overseas T20 leagues with APLT20 for Balkh franchise, while UAE’s Mohammad Naveed will turn up for Kandahar franchise. Scotland’s Calum Macleod was picked up by Paktia franchise and USA’s Ali Khan (fresh from his winning stint with Trinbago Knight Riders after wining 2018 Caribbean Premier League) gets another overseas T20 opportunity with Kabul franchise.

Nepal’s rising star Sandeep Lamichhane adds another stint in an overseas T20 league to his resume, as he will play for Nangarhar franchise. For full squads of all five franchises for 2018 APLT20, click here.

All match timings are in Gulf standard time. For viewers in Nepal, the start timings will be 5:45 pm (4 pm games) and 9:45 pm (8 pm games). For viewers in USA, the start timings will be 8 am in Washington time (4 pm games) and 12 pm Washington time (8 pm games).

For viewers in Scotland and Netherlands, the start timings would be 1 pm & 2 pm respectively for 4 pm games and 5 pm & 6 pm respectively for 8 pm games.

Afghanistan Cricket Board has awarded the broadcasting rights to DSport for Indian territory and further broadcast partners have also been announced for the T20 league to be shown worldwide.
