Cricket Namibia (CN) CEO Johan Muller has announced the full calendar for the Namibian Men’s national squad for 2022, and it includes four (4) rounds of the CWC League 2 Championships in March, July, September and November 2022. The top three teams at the conclusion of the League 2 Championships will advance to the 2023 Cricket World Cup Qualifier tournament, with the bottom four teams advancing to the 2022 ICC Cricket World Cup Qualifier Play-off.
Men’s teams from United States (USA) and Namibia will tour Papua New Guinea (PNG) in September 2022, while CN will host Men’s teams from Scotland and Nepal in November 2022 as per the ICC schedule for the CWC League 2 ODI Tri-series set of 36 events across 2019-2023. Namibia have so far played eighteen (18) matches out of their scheduled thirty-six (36) ODI matches in the League 2 Championships so far and are currently ahead of Nepal on the points table in fifth (5th) position.
Namibia Men’s team travelled to UAE in March 2022 to take part in the 9th round of the CWC League 2 Championships, where they played matches against their host’s and Oman. The team then travelled to Scotland in July 2022 to play their scheduled four (4) matches against the host’s and Nepal.
