Upcoming Netherlands left-arm seamer, Fred Klassen, has signed a two-year contract with England’s County Cricket Club, Kent.
Klassen made his ODI debut for Netherlands in the 2-match ODI series against Nepal in Aug 2018 and picked up 6 wickets in the 2 matches so far to have a good start to his ODI career and with Netherlands going to be part of ICC’s 13-nation ODI League from 2020-2022, Klassen’s signing with Kent will help him develop his game further in the English County season.
As reported on the Club’s website, Klaassen also took wickets in one appearance for the Kent 2nd XI, taking 4/67 and 3/97 in the 127-run victory over Essex, the Southern Division County champions, in a four-day friendly at Canterbury’s Polo Farm last month.
