Indonesia Cricket will be hosting the Men’s National team from Philippines for a six (6) match Bali Bash International series in the T20 format (with ICC team ranking points) from December 22nd – 27th, 2023 at Udayana Cricket Ground in Bali. Both Nations have met in T20 International matches as part of ICC East Asia-Pacific (EAP) regional qualifiers for T20 World Cup events in the past (most recent meeting during the 2018 sub-regional qualifier). However, this will be the first matches between the two teams with team ranking points on offer.
With the regional qualification event for 2026 ICC Men’s T20 World Cup set to take place in South Korea in September 2023, this series will provide good opportunity for both the teams to start their preparations towards the event, as regular fixtures till the time the qualifier comes, is not a guarantee for Philippines. Indonesia Men however, being special invitees for Asian Cricket Council (ACC) tournaments for 2023 and 2024, will get to take part in the ACC Challenger Cup T20I tournament in February 2024 in Thailand.

HELLO CZARSPORTZ , I WANT TO ASK THAT HOW MANY TEAMS WILL QUALIFY FOR THE EAST-ASIA PACIFIC REGIONAL FINAL FROM THE EAP SUB-REGIONAL QUALIFIER ‘B’ ?
AND DO YOU’VE ANY NEWS REGARDING THE EAP SUB-REGIONAL QUALIFIER ‘A’ ? I THINK PAPUA NEW GUINEA WILL GET A BYE TO THE EAP REGIONAL FINALS AS THEY’RE COMPETING IN THE ICC WORLD T20 2024.
