Cricket PNG (Papua New Guinea) have announced their 16-member Men’s national squad for the upcoming tours of United Arab Emirates (UAE) and Nepal in the months of March and April 2022. The Barramundis squad will be away for an extensive amount of time, as they take part in CWC League 2 ODI Tri-series in UAE, followed by ODI bi-lateral series and a T20I Tri-series in Nepal (Malaysia being the third nation in the Tri-series), before wrapping up their program with another visit to UAE for another round of CWC League 2 ODI Tri-series in April 2022.
The PNG Men’s squad will play against UAE and Nepal in the ODI Tri-series from March 15th – 22nd, after which they will travel to Nepal and play the 2-match ODI series on 25th and 26th March, before the T20I Tri-series begins from 28th March until April 04th at the TU Cricket Ground in Kathmandu. PNG are then scheduled to play against Oman and Scotland in the ODI Tri-series from April 09th – 16th, 2022. The squad has been taking part in training sessions in Australia for the past couple of weeks at the “Gold Coast Sport High Performance Centre” at runaway bay.
