Malaysian Cricket Association (MCA) will be hosting the Asian Cricket Council (ACC) Women’s Premier Cup tournament (which will act as the qualifier for ACC Women’s Asia Cup 2026) from June 03rd – 13th, 2026 at multiple venues across Bayuemas Oval in Kuala Lumpur, YSD-UKM Cricket Oval in Bangi, Selangor Turf Club in Kuala Lumpur and Kolej Tuanku Ja’afar Ground in Mantin, Negeri Sembilan. MCA will be hosting seventeen (17) Associate member teams in the Asian region (with the additional inclusion of Mongolia and Philippines for the first time, after being granted ACC Associate membership in 2025) in the tournament, where teams will be divided into four (4) groups, and the winners of all the group advancing to the semifinals of the tournament. All four (4) semifinalist’s will qualify for the main draw of the ACC Women’s Asia Cup 2026, as it was the case in the 2024 edition, where the total number of participants for the event was increased to eight (8), along with qualification for ACC Women’s Asia Cup Rising Stars tournament as well, next year.

Some of the teams in the competition will already have the experience of playing in Malaysia, with the Asian Games 2026 Women’s Qualifier taking place right before this tournament. However, a majority of the teams in the competition couldn’t be at the Asian Games qualifier, as player eligibility criteria for competing in a Regional Games are different than the ICC player eligibility rules, and this ACC event is an ICC-sanctioned tournament.
