Ring of changes in Montreal Tigers ahead of 2nd match in GT20 Canada

There have been a number of changes in the Montreal Tigers squad ahead of their opening group match against Winnipeg Hawks in the inaugural Global T20 Canada.

Pakistan’s Mohammad Hafeez and Sri Lankan trio of Thisera Perera, Dasun Shanaka and Isuru Udana have been withdrawn from the Montreal Tigers squad after they were called up for their respective National squads for upcoming International assignments.

The four players have been replaced by West Indian pair of Dwayne Smith and Kevon Cooper and Australian pair of Moises Henriques and Peter Siddle.

In other update to Montreal Tigers squad, Nepal’s Sandeep Lamichhane will miss the opening game for the team after undisclosed technical issues prevented him from travelling to Canada. He will be flying from New Delhi on 29th June 2018 and will be available for the franchise from their 2nd group phase match. Raman Shiwakoti confirmed the development on his twitter timeline.

After a high scoring encounter in the opening game of the GT20 Canada between Toronto Nationals and Vancouver Knights, another high scoring game is expected in the 2nd game. Lots will be expected from David Warner and David Miller in the batting department for Winnipeg Hawks, while the bowling department will be spearheaded by the likes of Dwayne Bravo, Rayad Emrit and Cecil Pervez.

Sunil Narine, Lasith Malinga and Kevon Cooper will be vital to Montreal Tigers bowling attack in their first game.
