Cricket Scotland (CS) have announced their 15-member squad for the upcoming ICC U19 Cricket World Cup scheduled to be held in the West Indies from January 14th – February 05th 2022, at select venues across Antigua, Guyana, Saint Kitts, and Trinidad. Scotland U19 were awarded the place from the European regional qualifiers results (finished as runners-up behind Ireland U19) as the replacement for New Zealand U19 in the tournament, after the latter withdrew due to strict quarantine requirements for players upon arrival back to the country from the Caribbean.
Scotland are placed alongside West Indies U19, Australia U19 and Sri Lanka U19 in group D of the tournament, with official warm-up fixtures scheduled against Uganda U19 and Ireland U19. The top two (2) teams in each group at the end of single round-robin group stage format will advance to the quarterfinals stage of the tournament, while the bottom two (2) teams from each group will contest in the Plate Championships to decide the final positions in the 16-team event.
