Scotland vice-captain withdraws from WCL matches against Namibia

Scotland vice-captain, Con de Lange has returned home to Scotland due to personal reasons and will be replaced by Michael English for the two World Cricket League Championship games against Kenya, Cricket Scotland has announced.

The Scots need one win from the two matches, to be played at Dubai International Sports Stadium, to secure their place in the ICC World Cup Qualifier, which will be held in Zimbabwe in March 2018.

Scotland are currently in 3rd place in the points table followed by Hong Kong in 4th & Kenya in 5th.

De Lange’s absence will be vital as he is one of the main spinners in the Scottish ODI/List A set-up.
