Spain Men’s squad announced for Germany T20I series at Desert Springs

Cricket Espana (CE) will be hosting the men’s national squad from Germany in the month of September 2021 at the Desert Springs ground in Almeria for a bi-lateral T20I series. Both the countries will play each other in three (3) T20I games scheduled to take place on 10th and 11th September 2021.

Both Germany and Denmark are preparing for the upcoming ICC Men’s T20 World Cup Europe qualifiers set to take place at Desert Springs facility from October 13th – 22nd, and will use the trips to acclimatize with the weather and ground conditions before competing in the ICC event, which is the qualification pathway towards 2022 Global qualifiers. Both Germany and Denmark have played International games in 2021, with Germany hosting a 3-nation T20I series at Krefeld in July and Denmark hosting Sweden for a bi-lateral T20I series in August and also travelling to Netherlands to play a T20 series with the Dutch “A” squad in the same month.

After the conclusion of the T20I series between Spain and Germany, Denmark national squad will arrive at Desert Springs and hold their preparatory camp from September 12th – 15th, 2021. Spain and Germany have already played a bi-lateral T20I series at the same venue in 2020, when Germany toured the country and played two matches on 08th March before global pandemic lockdowns owing to COVID-19 began towards the end of the month.

Cricket Espana (CE) have announced the men’s squad, that was chosen after national trials were held for the players at Cartama Oval from August 06th – 08th, where inter-squad matches took place in both T20 and T10 formats.
