The teams have been divided into two (2) groups of four (4) each, and the tournament will follow a single round-robin group stage format, following which, the top team in both the groups will compete in the Final, along with the runners-up from both the groups competing in the 3rd/4th Play-off game.

The event will be the second (2nd) international tournament organized by the European Cricket Association (ECA) as part of its finalized international schedule for the year, with the Viking Cup tournament in Sweden being the first event. Their schedule for this year also includes the inaugural editions of European Championships for Men, Women, and the Under-19 category.

The Women’s Continental Cup will take place from August 03rd – 06th, 2023 at Moara Vlasiei cricket ground in Bucharest, while the Women’s Nordic Cup will take place from August 25th – 27th, 2023 at Kerava cricket ground and Tikkurila cricket ground. Nordic Cup event will be contested by Women’s National teams from Finland, Denmark, Norway and Sweden, while the Continental Cup event will be contested by Women’s National teams from Romania, Isle of Man, Malta and Greece and will be live streamed on the European Cricket Network (ECN) platform. Isle of Man team is travelling to Romania after their tour of Austria in July 2023, while all the other three (3) competing teams will be playing their first T20 Internationals (with ranking points) after inaugural edition of Continental Cup and Balkan Cup series respectively in August and September 2022.

Estonia Women’s team will also be taking part in the Nordic Cup week, playing games against Finland Women and Norway Women. Both Estonia and Finland Women played a couple of T20 International matches a few week ago in Estonia, and that should come in good stead for the Estonian team, who are getting to play more International cricket in a short space of time.
