Afghanistan Cricket Board (ACB) have announced that the Men’s National squad will be touring United Arab Emirates in February 2023, and will be their first International assignment in 2023 following the conclusion of their last tour of Sri Lanka in November 2022, post 2022 ICC Men’s T20 World Cup. During their tour of UAE, Afghanistan will play three (3) T20Is against their host’s at Zayed Cricket stadium from 16th – 19th. This is part of the agreement between the two cricket boards, with Afghanistan Men’s national team will be using United Arab Emirates as their home base to host their bi-lateral series in the FTP.
The series between UAE and Afghanistan will be played on an annual basis. Both the countries are also going to take part in other Asian Cricket Council (ACC) and International Cricket Council (ICC) events in 2023, and ACB have announced an expanded squad of twenty-two (22) members, which will be travelling to Abu Dhabi for a preparation camp before the start of the T20I series.
