First ever Cricket tournament set for June 2022 in Armenia

Cricket is set to begin its journey in Armenia, with the announcement of the first-ever event set to take place in June 2022 at Razdan Cricket Stadium, Yerevan, Armenia. The Armenia Cricket Association (ACA) was constituted in 2020 under the Armenia Sports Authority and will be responsible for all cricket activities in the country.

The inaugural T10 competition will be competed by six (6) teams, namely Yerevan Lions, Gyumri Riders, Arahat Stars, Sevan Fighters, Tateu Strikers and Kapan Royals. All the teams will play each other in a double round-robin league stage format, followed by the knock-out matches for the Title. The organizers are also targeting overseas participation in the tournament alongside local participation, with live streaming of the matches also in the agenda for ACA.

More details on the tournament schedule and team squads will be announced in due course of time.
