Dominica Cricket Association (DCA) are set to host the inaugural edition of Nature Isle T10 tournament in collaboration with Dream11, who have run T10 tournaments in the Caribbean region in the countries of St. Vincent, Trinidad, Jamaica, St. Lucia and Grenada so far. The inaugural edition will see six (6) franchise teams compete for the title at the Windsor Park Sports Stadium from May 22nd – June 05th, 2022.
The six teams, namely the Valley Hikers (Kevin James Captain), Sari Sari Sunrisers (Casimir Benjamin Captain), Barana Aute Warriors, Titou Gorge Splashers (Jerlani Robinson Captain), Indian River Rowers (Vincent Lewis Captain) and the Champagne Reef Divers (Micah Joseph Captain) have been named after the natural sites in Dominica and DCA are trying to get the maximum promotion out for tourism in the country through this competition.
The tournament will provide further exposure to the Dominica U23 squad members in Micah Joseph, Jahseon Alexander, Lee Louisy, Yawani Regis, Delaney Alexander, Savio Anslem, Mikiel Reviere and Stephan Pascal, who participated in the Tony cozier and Joseph Reds Perriera Regional T6 tournament in Barbados in April 2022. Micac Joseph and Stephan Pascal were particularly impressive for the U23 team in the tournament, both with the bat and the ball.
