Dehradun to host Afghanistan’s home series against touring Ireland

    Ireland will be travelling to India to play Afghanistan in three T20I’s, five ODI’s and a one-off Test in Feb/Mar 2019. The schedule for the series has been announced with Rajiv Gandhi International Cricket Stadium set to host all the matches during the series between the two newest Test members.

    The series will see Ireland and Afghanistan play their 2nd Test match after making their Test debuts in 2017 against Pakistan and India respectively.

    Ireland have a busy schedule ahead of them after their tour of India with Bangladesh visiting them before 2019 ICC Cricket World Cup and Afghanistan also visiting them around the same time for a T20I Tri-series involving Bangladesh.

    Afghanistan national squad members are currently undergoing training camp in Chennai and some of Ireland’s players are also set for a training schedule in India as part of their winter program.

    26th Feb 2019: Ireland v Afghanistan (T20I)

    04th Mar 2019: Ireland v Afghanistan (ODI)
    07th Mar 2019: Ireland v Afghanistan (ODI)
    09th Mar 2019: Ireland v Afghanistan (ODI)

    17th – 21st Mar 2019: One-Off Test Match
