Randwick Petersham Cricket Club will host the Ireland Men’s National squad in Sydney from October 01st – 07th, 2022 as part of the Irish team’s warm-up/training camp before the start of the First round of fixtures in the 2022 ICC Men’s T20 World Cup. Ireland team will then travel to Melbourne to play two official ICC Men’s T20 World Cup warm-up matches, before moving to Hobart for the first round of the tournament proper.
The previous time Ireland team had visited Coogee Oval was eight (8) year ago in 2015 ahead of their participation in the 2015 ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup in Australis, and current squad members Andrew Balbirnie, Harry Tector and Barry McCarthy were part of the Overseas Scholarship Program during that time for Randwick Petersham Cricket Club.
