Ireland bowlers came back strongly on Day 2 of their practice match against UAE to warm-up nicely ahead of the final round of I-Cup matches.

After UAE bowlers bowled out Ireland for 255 on the first day of the game, Irish bowlers put back the pressure on UAE batsmen on the 2nd day as they bowled them out for only 246 runs to take a lead of 9 runs.

Ireland batted for the remainder of the 2nd day with Porterfield and Balbirnie getting some useful time on the middle ahead of the important clash with Scotland.

Adnan Mufti continued his rise in the UAE ranks as he scored a stroke-filled 86 n.o and Ashfar Ahmed (42) provided resistance but not much came from the rest of the batting line-up. Stirling (3/6), Murtagh (2/23), Dockrell (2/37) & Chase (2/39) had a good bowl-out for the Irish.
