Ireland Men’s national squad will play white-ball series against the likes of India, New Zealand, South Africa and Afghanistan between June and August 2022, in what will be a busy period for the players, as they look forward to participating in 2022 ICC Men’s T20 World Cup in Australia in October/November. Ireland Men’s team played against the national squad from India from June 26th – 28th, 2022 in a 2-match T20I series at Malahide, which also hosted the previously played 2-match T20I series back in 2018. The team will then face the visiting Blackcaps for a 3-match ODI series (part of CWC Super League Championships), followed by a 3-match T20I series from July 10th – 22nd, 2022. The dates and venues for the 5-match T20I series against Afghanistan are yet to be finalized, while a 2-match T20I series against South Africa will be hosted at The Bristol County Ground in Bristol from August 03rd – 05th, 2022.
The multi-format men’s series against Bangladesh, scheduled home Test match and ODIs against Afghanistan and tour to Zimbabwe have been rescheduled and now will take place in 2023. Ireland Men’s team will be off to Australia in October 2022 after the completion of their home fixtures to take part in the 2022 ICC Men’s T20 World Cup, for which they qualified through the Global qualifier A tournament held in Oman in February 2022.
