Cricket South Africa have announced that overseas professionals can register for the upcoming CSA T20 League until 02nd Oct 2018. The inaugural edition of the League will take place between 09th Nov – 16th Dec, 2018. However, with majority of International stars already drafted during the T10 League player draft held few days back, it would be interesting to see the line-up of overseas professionals, who register for the SA T20 League.
Cricket South Africa (CSA) have made it clear that the registered players should be available from 09th Nov 2018 until 17th Dec 2018 to play in the league. Foreign overseas players will also need to submit a copy of their passports or other similar identification as part of the player registration process. Player draft will be taking place on 17th Oct 2018.
Six teams will be competing in the league (all teams will be owned by Cricket South Africa) and a total of 32 matches will be played on a home and away basis. Each team will have 16 players with a minimum of 3 and a maximum of 4 overseas players (includes Kolpak players returning to South Africa to play in the league).
South African Broadcasting Corporation (SABC) will be the official broadcaster for the Sub-Saharan region for the T20 League, after CSA and themselves signed on a memorandum of understanding (MOU) for the next 3 years.
