UAE continued their dominance over Zimbabwe A in their ongoing 5-match series as they beat them by 25 runs in the 3rd match played under lights at Dubai International stadium.

UAE did not have the best outing with the bat themselves as they posted a meagre 214/8 in their 50 overs. Skipper Rohan Mustafa (46 off 62) and Mohammad Qasim (24 off 37) provided a good partnership of 74 runs at the top and once they were dismissed, UAE were quickl down to 121/5 at one stage. Laxman Sreekumar (35 off 73) and Adnan Mufti (24 off 38) steadied the innings for a while but perished as well to leave UAE at 171/8.

It was left to an enterprising cameo from Amjad Javed (39 n.o off 26) in the end, which propelled UAE to their eventual total of 214. Brandon Mavuta (2/17 off 10) and Ryan Burl (2/39 off 8) were the pick of the bowlers for Zimbabwe A. Mavuta really made it hard for the UAE batsmen to play their shots during the middle overs and collected wickets as well to further peg them back.

Zimbabwe A opener Brian Chari (31 off 44) and No.4, Peter Moor (36 off 60) played cautiously as UAE bowlers created chances and took them quite often to get them bowled out for 189 in 46.2 overs. Timycen Maruma (37 off 45) was the other notable contributor to the team cause.

Amjad Javed (2/30), Ahmed Raza (2/28 off 10), Mohammad Qasim (2/20) and Zahoor Khan (3/40 off 9) had good bowling return numbers and now UAE might look to try new players in the remaining matches.
