Cricket Uruguay are organizing the 18th edition of the Uruguay Premier League (UPL) at the Rambla ground from November 2023, which will see six (6) domestic clubs participate in the competition, namely Rambla Risers, Artigas Amigos, Pocitos Challengers, Atletico Strikers, Montevideo Mavericks and Falcon Fighters. All the teams will play each other in a single round-robin group stage format.
The domestic competition will have much excitement this year, with the National Men’s team having recently participated in the 2023 South American Championships and made the Final, only to finish as runners-up to the eventual Champions, Argentina. Both the countries also continued their bi-lateral arrangements earlier this year, when Uruguay team visited Buenos Aires for a 4-match series in the T20 format at San Albano Club ground (Corimayo) and Belgrano Athletic Club ground (Virrey del Pino).
