Zimbabwe U19 Women on tour of South Africa in October 2022

Zimbabwe U19 Women’s side will be touring South Africa from October 01st – 07th, 2022 to play a five-match Twenty20 (T20) series against South Africa U19 Women at the Sahara Park Willowmoore Cricket Stadium in Benoni. Both teams are using the series as part of their preparations for the inaugural ICC U19 Women’s T20 World Cup to be hosted by South Africa in January 2023.

While all-rounder Kelis Ndhlovu and pace bowler Michelle Mavunga have been part of the Zimbabwe Women’s senior squad on their recent tour of UAE for the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup Global qualifiers, this tour is important for the rest of the squad to get competitive game-time before the Global event next year. South Africa U19 Women have already played a bi-lateral series with Namibia U19 Women in August 2022, and this series will continue their preparations for the World Cup as well, for which the schedule has already been announced.
