Canada batsmen let down after Faisal’s 5-for against Bangladesh in U19 World Cup

The U19 World Cup match between Bangladesh U-19 and Canada U-19 was filled with brilliant individual performances in which Canada lost eventually by 66 runs.

Bangladesh U-19 rode on Tawhid Hridoy’s masterclass innings of 122 off 126 deliveries and Afif Hossain’s all-round display with 50 runs with the bat and bagging a 5-for while bowling.

Bangladesh U-19 notched up 264/8 in their 50 overs batting first. Opener Mohammad Naim continued his good form scoring 47 runs at the top of the innings. The highlight of the innings being the 111 runs partnership for the 4th wicket between Tawhid and Afif.

For Canada U-19, the sparkling performance with the ball came from Faisal Jamkhandi, who picked up 5/48 in his 8 overs. While batting, Arslan Khan made 63 runs in 108 deliveries against a disciplined Bangladeshi attack.

Canada eventually getting bowled out for 198 in 49.3 overs to lose their 1st group stage match.
