Malta Cricket Association have landed a coup of sorts as they have roped in Rajkumar Sharma as their Head Coach for the upcoming T20I Tri-series involving themselves, the host’s Spain and Estonia at La Manga Club from Mar 29th – 31st, 2019.
Rajkumar Sharma is a well-known name in the Indian Cricket circuit, having been the mentor and junior coach for current Indian National Men’s captain Virat Kohli during his school days at the West Delhi Cricket Academy. Rajkumar still remains an integral part of the Indian skipper’s support system.
Malta Men’s national team will be making their T20I team debut in the Tri-series along with Spain and Estonia and all matches in the tournament will carry official T20I status and points will be counted towards ICC Men’s T20I Team rankings, when the global rankings come into effect during the 2nd quarter of 2019.
