Marylebone Cricket Club (MCC) concluded a successful 12-day tour of Kenya, where they played against local clubs and Kenya U19/Kenya Select XI over a series of matches in different formats.
The tour had it’s difficulties as most of the Kenyan national squad members were on strike due to non-payment of their salaries from the current Interim committee management running the operations in the country. Most of the U19 players, who played in the ICC U19 World Cup in 2018, made up the numbers for the select XI team fielded for the games.
MCC tour members also took part in giving coaching lessons to youngsters during the visit and that part remains the best thing during MCC’s visits to various nations throughout the calendar year.
