Nepal players debut in ICC ODI Player rankings

The latest updated ICC ODI player rankings have taken into the account the 2-match ODI series played between Nepal and Netherlands and thus, some of the players have been given official player rankings based on their performances.

Nepal while Nepal’s leg-spinner Sandeep Lamichhane claimed the 217th position in the rankings after finishing the series with four wickets.

Nepal captain Paras Khadka makes his debut in the bowling rankings at 238th position while Sompal Kami occupies the 218th position. Basant Regmi occupies the 234th position while Lalit Bhandari is currently ranked 377th in the bowling charts.

Sompal Kami (229th) and Gyanendra Malla (236th) made their rankings debut in the batsmen category, thanks to their half-century efforts in the matches held in Amstelveen. Nepal captain Paras Khadka occupies the 248th ranking position while Anil Sah occupies the 320th position.

Nepal needs to play two more official ODI matches to get their ICC ODI Team rankings and the upcoming Asia Cup qualifiers can fulfil the conditions if both Nepal and UAE reach the finals.
