Zimbabwe and South Africa hopefuls compete in a crucial “A” tour

South Africa “A” Men’s team will tour Zimbabwe in June for four List-A matches and two Four-Day matches to be played at Harare Sports Club and Takashinga Cricket Club from May 29th – June 16th, 2021. The tour presents the opportunity for players to perform and get noticed for National senior squads in the coming future.

The one-dayers, scheduled for 29 and 31 May and 2 and 4 June, will be played behind closed doors at Harare Sports Club, with no fans allowed in the stadium due to Covid-19 protocols. Harare Sports Club is also the venue for the first four-dayer, penciled in for 7-10 June while Takashinga Cricket Club will host the second four-day match, set for 13-16 June. This will be the first International assignment for Zimbabwe “A” team after their last tour taking place in November 2017, when they toured UAE for a limited-overs series.

For South Africa, the likes of Janneman Malan, Andile Phehlukwayo, Reeza Hendricks, Dwaine Pretorius, Sinethemba Qeshile, Zubayr Hamza and Theunis de Bruyn will be looking to dominate proceedings and keep themselves in the eyes of the selectors.
