There are press reports suggesting that WWE CEO, Vince McMahon is looking to personally fund a company called Alpha Entertainment to revive XFL, an off-season outdoor American football league.
There were talks in the street that McMohan may consider selling WWE to acquire the funds. Although Liberty Media, owners of Formula One Group, haven’t said much in this regard but they could be potential suitors if WWE were up for sale.
Although WWE and Vince McMahon’s total assets should be enough to not sell WWE, a strategic buyout by FWON will bring lots of positives in terms of synergies.
