Key senior players missing in Nepal’s 18-member camp for Qatar Series

Cricket Association of Nepal (CAN) have announced the 18-member closed training camp squad for the upcoming tour of Qatar for a 3-match T20I series from February 09th – 12th, 2021.

Key senior players including Gyanendra Malla, Paras Khadka, Sharad Vesawkar and Sandeep Lamichhane are not part of the training camp, which leads to assumption that the quartet will be giving the tour a miss, providing the way for a much younger squad to gain valuable experience of overseas tour before more crucial events in the year including the CWC League 2 tournaments.

Nepal’s tour of Qatar is part of Qatar’s National Sports Day event celebrations and will comprise of three matches at Asian Town Stadium in Doha on 09th, 10th and 12th February 2021.
