Nigeria Cricket Federation (NCF) have chosen a provisional 36-member training squad of U19 players to begin preparations for the International Cricket Council (ICC) U19 Africa Regional Qualifier Division1 in October 2021. The camp at Abuja is expected to take place from the 04th – 09th May 2021 at the Goodluck Jonathan High Performance Center, Package B Moshood Abiola Stadium.
The players were chosen based on their performances during the 2021 National U17 Cricket Championship organized by the Nigeria Cricket Federation in January/February. Nigeria made their maiden appearance at the 2020 ICC U19 World Cup in South Africa, and the players will look to repeat that feat when the Division1 qualifiers is hosted by Nigeria in October 2021.

USA Cricket has also announced a 26-player USA Men’s Under 19 National Training Group, that will work with Head Coach Kevin Darlington over the next few months to seal their spots in the National squad, that will take part in the U19 Americas Regional Qualifier Division1 later this year. The training plans are currently in the development stage and will be announced shortly.
The chosen players, that includes Rehman Dar (top batsman), Sai Mukkamalla (player of the tournament) and Sanjay Krishnamurthi (top bowler), were the standouts during the recently concluded U19 National Championships, held at Prairie View Cricket Complex in Houston, Texas.
