Cricket Canada have announced the 15-member squad for the upcoming ICC U19 Cricket World Cup in South Africa from Jan 17th – Feb 09th, 2020. Canada qualified for the event after remaining unbeaten and winning the ICC Americas U19 Qualifiers against USA U19, Bermuda U19, Argentina U19 and Cayman Islands U19 at King City in Jul 2019.
Canada will be participating in the U19 World Cup for the 7th time since their maiden appearance in the 2002 edition of the tournament and 2018 edition in New Zealand being their previous appearance.
Canada have been placed in Group D during the group stages of the tournament alongside host’s South Africa, Afghanistan and United Arab Emirates. All the participating countries will play warm-up matches from Jan 12th – 15th in Johannesburg and Pretoria.
