It was a mixed day of sorts for all the African member countries (Full members Zimbabwe and Associate members Namibia, Kenya, Uganda and Nigeria) on the opening day of 2018 Africa T20 Cup at various venues in South Africa.
Namibia and Kenya managed to register wins in high-scoring chases against Border and Mpumalanga respectively, while Uganda lost both their fixtures Kwazulu-Natal Coastal and Inland sides respectively.
Uganda and Namibia matches against Kwazulu-Natal Coastal and Eastern Province were live streamed on Pitchvision platform. Zimbabwe Select had a horrific outing in their first match against Gauteng but made amends in their next match against Free State.
In what is the biggest ever ensemble of teams in an expanded Africa T20 Cup of 20 teams, 5 teams in four pool’s are vying for the top spot to advance to the semi-final stage of the tournament.
