Cricket Namibia (CN) have announced the men’s National squad, that will travel to USA to take part in the 2nd round of ODI Tri-series involving the host’s and Papua New Guinea, which is part of the ICC CWC League 2 Championship.
Namibia, who played an official ODI match in the final of ICC WCL Division 2 event at home in Apr 2019 after a long gap of 16 years, will be playing 4 matches against their opponents (2 ODI’s each vs USA/PNG) during the tournament, to be played at Central Broward Regional Park stadium in Florida.
Namibia squad has been boosted by the return of Christi Viljoen, who was handed a 4-match suspension by ICC, which got over during their home T20I series against Botswana a week ago. Namibia also played couple of 50-overs matches against Botswana during the week to prepare themselves for the longer format of white-ball cricket.
