Bermuda won a thrilling nail-biter in the final of the ICC Americas Sub-regional qualifiers for WorldT20, defeating Cayman Islands (Unbeaten leading into the Final) by 4 wickets in the final over of the match.

Cayman Islands set up the game after posting 134/7 in their 20 overs which Bermuda eclipsed reaching 136/6 in 19.5 overs.

Kamau Leverock (31 off 30) and S Brener (26 n.o off 14) were the star of the show as they played effortlessly to take their team almost near to the target before few wickets fell, but Brenner held his nerve to guide Bermuda to the title. Adrian Wright (2/15 off 3) bowled brilliantly for Cayman Islands but the rest of the line-up could not penetrate more to create more pressure on the Bermuda batsmen.

Earlier, Ramon Sealy (26 off 21), Cory Cato (17 n.o off 13) and Troy Taylor (18 off 12) played good knocks at either end of the innings to take Cayman Islands to a fighting 134. C Outerbridge (2/19) and Janeiro Tucker (2/20) were the lick of the bowlers for Bermuda.

Bermuda and Cayman Islands both qualify for ICC Americas Regional Finals with the other sub-regional group qualifiers involving USA & Canada to be played later this year.
