Kenya fail to keep up the momentum in the next two matches in Zimbabwe

Kenya let go off a good start to their campaign on 2nd day of Zimbabwe’s T20 Tri-series; however, there were some notable performances from the Kenyan camp among their loss in both the fixtures against Zimbabwe Select and Board XI.

While the batting did not materialize in the first game, having restricted Zim Select to a sub-par score of 159, a special century in the second game by Prince Masvuare for Board XI let-down the bowling unit after the batsmen put up a strong total of 206 on board.

Thomas Oluoch was brilliant in the first game as he picked up a 4-wicket haul and Pushpak Kerai bowled economically in both the games. The likes of Dhiren Gondaria, Alex Obanda, Rakep Patel and Collins Obuya need to score consistently in the high numbers to provide bowlers the chance to defend the totals and while chasing totals, the above four will have to take the responsibility to see the team through.

Kenya are preparing themselves for the upcoming ICC World T20 Africa “B” qualifiers in Rwanda in Jul 2018 followed by Africa T20 Cup qualifiers at home in Nairobi.
