Ireland announce squads for T20 World Cup Qualifiers/Tour of Oman

Cricket Ireland have announced the 15-member men’s national squads for the upcoming 5-nation T20 International Series in Oman and the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup Qualifiers in the UAE from Oct 18th – Nov 02nd, 2019.

Ireland will be competing against host’s Oman, Netherlands, Hong Kong and Nepal during their tour of Oman from Oct 05th – 10th, before travelling to UAE, where they are pitted alongside UAE, Hong Kong, Oman, Canada, Jersey and Nigeria in their group in the Qualifiers. Ireland national squad were recently winners of the T20I Tri-series held at Malahide, featuring Scotland and Netherlands.

The squad sees Simi Singh retain his place due to injury and withdrawl due to it by Jacob Mulder. Barry McCarthy replaces David Delany in the squad only for the tour of Oman, as David is unavailable due to his university study programme.
